DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This position will be responsible for patrolling on foot & golf cart hotel and surrounding property. Enforce City & State Laws, hotel policy, respond to and resolve safety concerns, work with city Police and hotel staff to help maintain an enjoyable and safe environment for hotel guest and staff. Selected candidates shall maintain the highest professional level of customer services by utilizing efficient problem-solving techniques to address customer concerns and inquiries and act as ambassadors to the Hotel.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job consists of periods of walking and routine exposure to minimal levels of heat, cold, moisture such as those encountered in general outdoor conditions. The position may require lifting of moderately heavy items, up to 40 pounds and/or very long periods of walking on a routine basis.

PREFERENCES:
Applicants with Bilingual/Spanish skills, law enforcement and/or security officer experience are preferred.
The preferred candidate will also possess the following abilities, knowledge, and skills:

Utilize problem identification and resolution techniques and make decisions independently in accordance with established policy and procedures and use initiative and judgment in completing tasks and responsibilities.

Courteously meet and deal effectively with other employees, public, clients and other law enforcement agencies, federal, state, and local agencies.

General Knowledge of Federal, State and County rules, regulations, and ordinances that govern enforcement activities.

Skill in meeting and dealing with a wide variety of people.

Operations of vehicles, communication equipment and other departmental equipment.

Report writing and statistical data compilation.

Interviewing and listening.
Work is primarily performed in a field environment with physical demands

SALARY INFORMATION:
Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
You will work 5 Shifts Per week:
Thursday - Saturday 8:00pm to 5:00am and Sunday and Monday 11:00pm to 7:00am
